Golden Lager / 5% ABV / Rocky Mountains
A beer rich in flavor and history, Coors Banquet originated in the mining town of Golden, right at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Adolph Coors, a German immigrant, settled here after searching for the best water to use to brew his beer. Coors Banquet to this day is brewed using 100% fresh Rocky Mountain water. The miners of Golden, Colorado helped name Coors Banquet referring to it as "the banquet beer" and it was a hit with beer drinkers all over the area up until prohibition when over 500 barrels of the golden beer had to be dumped (heart wrenching.. we know) After 17 long, dry years the beer was able to flow freely again and the "stubby" bottle was introduced but it was not until the 90's when Coors Banquet was available in all 50 states. Brewed only with Moravian barley seeds and a particular strain of yeast giving that slight fruity aroma Banquet drinkers know and love. A truly traditional beer, Coors Banquet is available in multiple size kegs, 12 ounce glass bottles, and 12 ounce aluminum cans.
